During the following events I will draw your attention to the actions of Engine eight, the onsite and acting fire chief at the rear of the theater in Aurora, Colorado on July 20, 2012. It is approximately 12:54 am and a mass shooting had just occurred minutes earlier at 12:39 Mountain Standard Time. While I have personally transcribed the entire word for word broadcast of both police and fire dispatch as recorded on the live stream broadcast on the internet, I have removed portions of it here for brevity and to focus on the important key points which could get lost in the full transcript. In no way am I trying to mislead you with my editing out of police and fire procedure. Trust me, if I feel it’s remotely relevant (for OR against my case), I will include it here.
At 12:54 am, Medic 102 reports on fire radio channels, “Medic 102 we have uh…uh…kid that’s shot in the neck/face at Sable and Centerpoint drive and we’re right here trying to get there…do you want us to stay here and take this patient?”
At this point Medic 101 breaks in over fire dispatch, “Century Command, Fire Dispatch, PD is saying they cannot evacuate the patients in theater nine…they need medical personnel.”
For review, Engine Eight is the acting fire chief at the rear of the theater (Sable side) and has earlier directed fire dispatch to refer to him as “Century Command”. Medic 101 is reporting to the acting fire chief for the first time that the Aurora Police Department has patients in theater nine that need medical attention and cannot be evacuated from the theater.
Fire’s Century Command simply responds, “Copy”.
Then Medic 101 cuts in and finishes explaining they are with Medic 105 in the front of the theater and have a patient. They are asking if they can take this one to the hospital.
At this point police are calling in on the police scanner saying they have a “whole bunch of people shot and no rescue”. The reference to no rescue appears to be the fact that no one is sending medial personal into the theater to assist the wounded. Police began requesting permission to take victims directly to the hospital in squad cars. An answer is given on air…
“Yep! Load ‘em up! Get ‘em in cars! Get ‘em outta here!”
Immediately following that an officer comes on air, “We have one we CANNOT move in theater nine…we need an ambulance crew in here as available.”
Police dispatch would ask the officers to let them know what hospitals they are going to so they can notify them. Aurora PD’s Lincoln-twenty five would report, “…just notify all the hospitals that we have people coming in!”
Jennifer Seeger, a witness previously trapped in theater nine has escaped the theater. Once outside, Jennifer calls her father. She would say of that call, “My dad is not a sentimental guy, but he was crying on the phone.”
July 20, 2012, 12:55 am
At 12:55 am Battalion One assumes command of the Fire response and is calling for an exact count of who is coming in, what fire apparatus, etc.
An officer comes over the police airwaves saying, “Ok, post on the hallway. I don’t want anybody coming out we might of missed.”
In the background on the dispatch audio a woman continues to cry in pain that sounds like the same eviscerated woman reported moments ago. He continues, “Repeat, if they are mobile, get ‘em outside…we have a few that are not mobile…we need a rescue crew in here right away.”
At 12:55 am an officer comes on air over police radio, “Metro eleven en-route, one patient, south…join officers at the exits from the theater to be assistance to other cars so we can check people leaving…check them for injured parties…check them for parties that might be armed. I’d like to have two cars at every point at those locations.”
Over police channels, an obviously emotional fire dispatcher repeats on air “…and again, PD is requesting medical personnel in theater nine…they have a child down they cannot evacuate.”
It is interesting to note the first time the dispatcher calls for help regarding the child she says the child is outside the theater. Now this transmission says the child is inside the theater. Apparently either there was more than one child, the child’s location was reported in error once, or the child has been moved. It’s not really part of my conspiracy theory but I wanted to mention the contradiction none the less. Perhaps it’s chalked up to stress and chaos.
The acting fire chief from Engine Eight now known as “Century Command” again simply responds in what increasingly appears to be irritation, “Copy.”
Throughout the whole ordeal it would appear that Century Command is annoyed at repeated requests to send medics into or toward the back of the theater. My conspiracy theory little mind starts to wonder why the fire chief seems reluctant to send medical into the theater. To be fair, perhaps he’s merely concerned for the safety of his crew and has no plans to send his people into a potential active shooter scene.
July 20, 2012, 12:56 am
At 12:56 am police officers are calling for ambulances at the east side of the theater where they are collecting victims. Again, the east side is the back or rear of the theater.
The Fire dispatcher then informs us, “…PD is advising that there are ten people down outside of…behind the theater…theater nine.”
Aurora Fire Department’s Century Command comes back in an irritable tone, “Dispatch, Command copies.” Then immediately fire command goes back to doing everything but calling in support to the back of the theater.
So now we have police multiple times asking for medics at the back of the theater and Century Command continues giving orders to every place but the back of the theater.
At 12:56 am a broken transmissions comes in on Aurora PD scanners, likely from the officer identified as Cruiser 49, and who appears to be inside theater nine. He is in mid-sentence, “…rifle…gonna be a 525 [unintelligible] caliber. The officer can be heard coughing hard, “sorry.”
Dispatch responds, “Officer, do you need rescue as well?”
He responds quickly, “No.” A few seconds later an officer (perhaps the same officer) comes on air, “Cruiser 49, I’m already identifying parties who saw the entire thing, as it unfolded. So cars, continue to stop people and ask questions as to what they saw.”
Again, stop to reflect on the information just provided. Though the transmission is broken and hard to hear, the officer reporting is coughing, seemingly choking on the gas inside the theater. He is clearly heard reporting on finding a “rifle” of some kind. So just how many rifles are there? We know there was a rifle by the back door from evidence photos, officers reported finding Holmes with “rifles” when they arrested him and now an officer is reporting on a rifle that seems to be inside the theater. The officer also reports he has witnesses that “saw the entire thing as it unfolded”.
July 20, 2012 12:57 am
At 12:57 am multiple police cars are leaving the scene with victims in their vehicles. Cruiser six reports he is taking two more victims and a transmission comes across saying “this guy’s been shot in the neck.”
Next, an officer comes on air and calmly asks, “Has anybody been upstairs in this theater yet?”
The response comes back, “They’re working on it now.”
The original officer tries to clarify, “So we have bodies upstairs or we are planning on doing that?” In this context it seems clear he is asking if we have bodies (meaning officers) who are upstairs or if it’s just the plan to do it. It appears he is willing to go upstairs himself.
The response comes back, “We’re clearing it now.”
At 12:57 am, fire’s Century Command would declare Engine Four is in charge of what will be called Dillard’s Division. Engine Eight will be in charge of what will be called Century Division.
July 20, 2012, 12:58 am
At 12:58 am the fire dispatcher comes on again, sounding distressed, and repeats, “…and PD is again requesting emergent medical to the back of the theater.” It is clear to me the dispatcher is concerned about the child that is not being treated.
Fire’s “Century Command” responds curtly, “I copy that, I’m just trying to get things under control here.”
Dispatch responds, “I copy, and again they are still asking for additional medical in theater nine.”
Century Command then calls out on air to Truck Two and asks their location. The response from Truck Two is as follows, “Command from Truck Two, we can take the theater at this time….uh theater nine.”
In other words, it is my opinion that Truck Two has been hearing the repeated requests for medical attention in theater nine and is now offering to respond since Century Command hasn’t ordered anyone to respond. However, inexplicably instead of agreeing to let Truck Two respond to theater nine as has been repeatedly asked for by dispatch and Aurora PD, Century Command instead orders them to come to him at his staging location.
On police dispatch channels they are telling other officers that Truck Two is en-route to theater nine now and medics are coming. However, that’s not what is happening. What actually just happened was Truck Two volunteered to respond to theater nine but Century Command instructed them not to go to the back of the theater and instead to report to the staging area.
Lincoln 41 then calls into police dispatch, “we need rescue to move up to the rear of the theater. We have officers there…uh…we are requesting they come immediately. We have multiple victims.”
Perhaps at this time police are hearing that medics are not en-route and are getting concerned. The officer is stressing that they need medical rescue to start showing up at the back of the theater.
At 12:58 am the fire dispatch AGAIN repeats, “…and PD is again requesting emergent medical to the back of the theater.”
At 12:58 am the following transmission is heard on police scanners, “Lincoln-twenty five to everybody inside…realize that behind the screens those are open venues so you need to check behind the screens also.”
A moment later a transmission on police scanners says “let ‘em know cruiser six is en route, one critical, one uh semi-critical.”
Officers and dispatch would continue to converse about needing vehicles or ambulances at the back of the theater for multiple victims.
An officer comes on within seconds after that in a broken transmission, “…shut down the screens because there are recesses behind them. They’re huge.”
An officer responds, “yeah we’ve got five possible employees in here..we’re searching them now.”
Stop! At this point officers admit that they are finding people behind the screens of the theater. Five POSSIBLE employees. Have they so quickly ruled out another accomplice could be hiding in the theater?
July 20, 2012, 12:59 am
At 12:59 am Lincoln 41 continues, “Advise rescue that the officers will be there for security…that’s the best we can do at this point.”
It appears to me from this latest transmission that Lieutenant 41 believes fire’s Century Command is not sending help to the back of the theater because he is afraid for the safety of his men. He tries to reassure Century Command that police officers will be there for their security.
At 12:59 am fire’s Century Command still has refused to send anyone into the back of the theater and the fire dispatcher comes on with the following transmission, “Sir, I apologize, again, PD is asking for emergent medical to the back of the theater, they are on scene to provide security for you guys.”
Century Command simply responds, “Copy, I have Truck Two coming around to help Engine Eight.” Which essentially means nothing because Engine Eight is not responding to theater nine but rather to the staging area.
Dispatch responds, “I copy sir…I believe that they have another party inside theater nine that they can’t evacuate which is the child…but they have ten parties down behind the theater is what they’re saying.”
Century Command responds with a simple, “Copy” and then starts issuing orders on checking local hospitals for how many beds they have (still not issuing an order to send medics into the theater).
Just before 1:00 am, newly arriving Denver Police officers will begin switching their radio channels over to local police channels and merging with Aurora PD.
By 1am in the morning some officers are reporting they are coming back to the scene after dropping off patients at local hospitals and are returning to transport more victims. An officer suggest they start taking people to University hospital as well.
Century Command of the fire department still hasn’t called anyone to theater nine and begins asking dispatch to activate the Emergency Management system so they can know how many beds exactly they have at various hospitals.
July 20, 2012, 1:01 am
By 1:01 am police officers from the nearby Denver Colorado police force are arriving on the scene in Aurora and can be heard calling in their car numbers to the local dispatch. Reporting in are Denver 328 and 324, Denver 222, Denver 231 and 212, Denver 234, 232, and 224 in order.
On Aurora fire channels the following report comes over the air, “Engine Five’s on scene…Sable…not quite to Exposition. Command, we’re right behind the theater…we just had a police officer run up to us and has nine patients behind the theater here…this would be on the east side of the theater. Do you want us to stay here or go with the police officer?”
As you can see, the fact that no medical has been sent to the rear of the theater has caused police now to literally run up to fire engines arriving begging for them to come assist at the rear of the theater. I also want to draw your attention to how many times the fire chief has been told about the number of victims outside behind the theater. Following protocol however, the newly arriving fire engine asks command if they should go with the police.
There is no response from Century Command. None. Just silence. Once again, Century Command refuses to send help to the back of the theater.
Another medic unit comes on air next reporting his location.
July 20, 2012, 1:02 am
At 1:02 am the newly arriving Denver police are asking to confirm where the Aurora PD command is located. Dispatch tells them command is on the North side of the theater.
The fire dispatch operator now calls attention to the fact that Century Command has repeatedly been ignoring requests to send people into theater nine by saying, “Century Command did you copy Engine Five? He was flagged down by an officer on the east side of the theater there?”
Century Command simply responds, “Copy” in an annoyed sounding voice. That’s it. Just “Copy”. Century Command still refuses to answer the question of whether Engine Five can assist at the back of the theater.
Perhaps realizing that once again Century Command is just going to ignore the request, the fire dispatcher presses, “I need to know if you want him to stay there or continue on to Dillards.”
What follows is dead silence for 11 seconds until medic 109 breaks the silence with an unrelated issues. Inexplicably therefore, Century Command once again just completely ignores the request to send help at the back of theater.
July 20, 2012, 1:03 am
At 1:03 am, police are radioing in, “Alright, so the guy is still inside theater nine. I’m working on the backboard right now for that female.”
It is interesting to note the officers’ choice of words, “The guy is still inside theater nine.” What guy? The shooter? This statement is so curious to me. Unfortunately it is unclear what “guy” the officer is talking about that is “still inside theater nine” but keep reading.
Next, over the police radio is heard, “Uh, Aurora personnel…uh…searching inside the movie theater as we speak.”
At this point we are unsure what or who they are searching for. Victims? Accomplices? “That guy?”
Another person responds over police channels, “Yeah, 230 let’s get officers at the, uh, parking lot exits. We want everybody, uh, in the parking lot held in here for right now..and they are currently searching in the inside…they are going to give us an update in just a second.”
So what’s going on here? If there is a lone gunman why is the fire command refusing to go into the theater? Why is it only NOW that the parking lot exits are being blocked? Who exactly is in the theater being searched for right now and what update are we waiting for?
Engine Five calls in again to Century Command and repeats their request that was earlier ignored, “We are on the east side of the theater on Sable. Do you want us to attend to the patients on the east side?”
Once again, remember that the east side is the back of the theater.
Century command responds with an unbelievable response, “You only have one patient there, correct?”
Seriously??? How on earth has Century Command missed the repeated reports of 9-10 victims on the east side including a small child inside the theater? Police and fire have been calling in nine patients over and over and police have been practically begging for assistance and now Century Command pretends to be totally unaware of the situation at the back of the theater by asking if there is only one victim there.
Engine Five responds calmly, “The police officer told us there’s nine patients.”
Again, this should NOT be news to Century Command as this has been repeated over and over again.
A couple of seconds pass and Century Command still does not respond.
Breaking the silence, Truck Two calls in to Century Command and is now acknowledged. In other words, Century Command has yet again managed to avoid answering Engine Five’s request for permission to assist at the back of the theater.
Truck Two reports in a shaky but clear voice, “We are in the rear of the theater. We have nine shot. If we can get any ambulances to stage on Sable we can get ‘em over to the ambulance.”
It is now apparent that Truck Two has ignored their chief’s order to come to the staging area and were instead persuaded by police to come assist at the rear of the theater. Perhaps Truck Two’s shaky voice is due to what he is seeing or nervousness over admitting he has directly disobeyed the chief’s orders.
A few more seconds pass. Perhaps Century Command is now realizing the pressure is mounting and it’s getting harder and harder to ignore calls for help to the back of theater, especially since Truck Two has ignored his command to stay away from the rear of the theater.
Century Command comes back shortly saying, “Ok…just stand by…let me get this sorted out…I’ll get with you in just a minute…just hang on.”
One can almost imagine he is saying to himself “CRAP!” Now what?? It has been clear Century Command did not want to send responders to the back of the theater but now it appears Truck Two already has. In no way do the actions of Century Command make any sense. These strange actions of Century Command originally caused me to conclude that he is either totally incompetent, a coward, or is perhaps secretly in on something and has been instructed not to send help to the back of the theater until given the order. That sounds nuts, I get it. But whatever the case, there seems little logical reason for Century Command’s repeated attempts to avoid sending help to the back of the theater.
Then something huge happens!
Still at 1:03 am police scanner traffic crackles to life with a report from a newly arriving Denver police officer, “Tac 16…sorry…Tac 21…Denver Tac 21…one of the construction workers said somebody just came booking out of the parking lot…male.. red backpack is all they saw..was heading towards Alameda”.
Another officer responds quickly that he is on Alameda Avenue now. Presumably he is going to be looking for the person seen “booking out of the parkinglot”.
More radio chatter reveals “Baker 81 we have an RP advisory, male dressed in black with a black backpack going toward the north east.”
To a careful listener, you can almost hear now the reluctance of the police dispatcher to repeat what has just been said. Dispatch however dutifuly repeats the information, “Copy all units on Blue SE, Denver Tac 21′s stating a male with a red backpack and another one [a long pause] possibly in black clothing heading towards Alameda.”
Another officer breaks in, “Hey, 230 just a little bit more…Aurora officer is going to give me a little bit more of an update right here.” There is a moment of silence then he continues, “Ok, uh, suspect is gonna be a male, unknown race, black camo outfit…believed to be wearing a vest…gas mask…and multiple long guns.”
Dispatch confirms “Copy all units responding to the theater, suspect is a male unknown race, black camo outfit, possible vest, gas mask and multiple long guns.”
For me this is simply unbelievable!! How is it that none of this has been reported on mainstream news? Clearly this individual the police are looking for cannot be the same man already detained in his car or outside the theater (the man believed to be James Holmes who may or may not be shot). This is now well over 25 minutes after James Holmes is believed to be in custody! This is a huge contradiction to the lone gunman theory and to my knowledge has never reported on by “official” sources”!
July 20, 2012, 1:04 am
At 1:04 am, fire’s Century Command calls in to Aurora dispatch, “Dispatch, Century Command.” By the sound of his voice, Century Command sounds defeated. Perhaps it is the sound of a man who may be at this time being relieved of duty.
The dispatcher responds, “Go ahead sir,”
Century Command responds, “Do we have any other chief responding?”
Dispatch responds, “Uh that’s a negative, do you want me to start another chief?”
Century Command responds, “Yeah, I need Chief Seven here please.”
Is it possible Century Command is now being relieved of duty? Are police asking for another chief, maybe one better suited to handle the situation? Or, in the conspirators mind, is it possible that some sort of official operation has finally come to an end now that the last “suspects” have fled the theater (two men with backpacks, one with multiple long guns)? Keep paying attention to what happens next.
Immediately after that Century Command assigns Truck Two and Engine Five together and names them collectively “Sable Division”. They are now officially assigned to the response at the back of the theater.
July 20, 2012, 1:05 am
At 1:05 am Aurora fire dispatch calls out, “Century Command, Fire Dispatch.”
Century Command responds but then asks dispatch to start calling him Aurora Mall Command “to avoid confusion”. This is a strange thing to happen at this point. Just as it appears Century Command is done stalling operations at the back of the theater and has officially designated himself “Sable Division” to assist at the rear of the theater he announces on air he is changing his name to “Aurora Mall Command”. Again, a conspiratorial mind might question why the change of name? Was there someone waiting for this name change to indicate a certain phase of the operation was complete?
Dispatch responds, “Copy sir, um, the Lieutenant with the police department is requesting to meet you face to face in front of the theater and we’re starting Chief Seven.”
One almost gets the impression that Century Command is done now with whatever task he has been given and is being notified that the new fire Chief is en-route and he that he should go meet with police now.
Century Command (now Aurora Mall Command) responds simply, and dejectedly with “Copy.”
Then, at 1:05 am a very strange series of transmissions take place to which I want to draw particular attention to.
Unit 249 calls in on air over local police channels to dispatch “Ok I’m assuming we’re waking up everybody, right?”
Aurora police dispatch responds quit matter of factly, “Yes sir.”
Within seconds they will start announcing that James Holmes is the shooter.

WHOA!!!! I was just getting read to say maybe the name change is due to the fact that Century Command sounds like Central Command and that was causing everyone to check in with that one chief when maybe they were not supposed to. I am not privy to the lingo or the SOP and it seems they would have clarified way before 25 minutes in. I was reading the rest before I commented obviously and the last few sentences changed my mind completely. I think your theory about a code word for the next phase is the reason. That is the only explanation for the serious cliff hanger here. You can’t make this stuff up. WHOA!!! Is all I have left.
