010 – Aurora Shooter Finally Detained? Or is he?

According to officials after the deadly mass shooting of July 20, 2012 in Aurora, Colorado, the lone gunman, James Holmes, was in custody within a minute and a half to two minutes after the first 911 calls. In my last post however, I revealed evidence that most eye-witness or reporting persons (RP’s), including police themselves, indicated that the shooter was still active inside theater 9 some five minutes after the shooting began. So now we know that the timing of when the alleged shooter was in custody may not entirely match up with the official narrative but now we will also learn that the MANNER in which the shooter was discovered may not entirely match up with the official story either.

It’s now 12:44 am, approximately five minutes after the first 911 calls, and an officer breaks in over the radio in a very excited and stressed voice yelling, “sixty-nine, the guy’s on the east side block! East side! I need officers on the east side to block it!”

The “east” side, as it is referred to here, is the back side of the theater. An officer is now yelling excitedly that “the guy” (presumably the shooter) is on the east side (behind the theater).  By his excited state one might assume this is the first time the shooter has been spotted.  Again, it is well after the official reports say James Holmes was detained but before you dismiss this time differential as insignificant, keep reading. It gets much worse for the “official” story.

July 20, 2012, 12:45 am

At 12:45 am police scanner traffic breaks out with the following transmission from an officer who is so excited or out of breath from running that he can hardly get his words out, “Fourteen, we have a party in a car shot..white…uh…two four zero, john zebra. I have…I have…it’s a Kia.. white Kia. ”

A female responds over the radio asking for clarification, “There’s another victim in a white Kia? Where is the vehicle at?”

Now please pay careful attention to this transmission! An officer is excitedly reporting someone is SHOT “inside” of a white Kia. It should be noted that the only white car behind the theater at this time is supposedly that of James Holmes. James Holmes car is actually a white Hyundai however, it would be easy to mistake a white Hyundai for a white Kia as the cars look very similar.  So the million dollar question is, who was the person shot inside this white vehicle?

At this point another officer in a different location breaks in asking for ambulance support out front of the theater.

When the police dispatch returns to the excited officers at the back of the theater we hear an officer say, “Sixteen Adam, I need a marked car behind the theater, Sable side, we’ve got a suspect in a gas mask.”

Now we know for sure several things. This is the first time someone is mentioning a “suspect”. In other words, this is the first time someone says they’ve actually seen him. And, it comes right after a report that they have someone shot “inside” a white car (reportedly a Kia).

Dispatch confirms more officers are requested east side due to a suspect in a gas mask.

So again, only now do we have any evidence a suspect has been spotted and at this moment there is confusion over whether the suspect is sitting inside the white Kia since an officer reported someone was shot
“in” a white Kia or whether he is standing outside of the theater as official reports later will say.

Right then an officer is heard on air asking, “Is that the dude in the white car you’re by?”

Again note the clear the wording here.  Is that the dude inthe white car you are by? It would appear the officer is asking if the “dude” (that is the “suspect”) is “in” the white car.  All of this contradicts the “official” story that emerges and is presented to the public that Holmes was discovered just standing outside the back of the theater when police spotted him.

Again, note there has been no discussion about the shooter appearing to be seen coming out of the theater, no mention of him standing around.  Nowhere in the background do you hear officers asking anyone to drop his weapons or get on the ground.  Instead, the officer’s question being asked is, “is that the dude in his car?”

While it is remotely possible other officers have already detained the suspect and then opened his car door and sat him inside the car for questioning, this seems HIGHLY unlikely given no audio transmissions of the arrest have been broadcast to this point and all the details we now know would not support that conclusion.  Also note one officer may have even reported the suspect had been shot and was “in” the car. How did the officer determine that the person in the car was shot? Could it be because the person in the car was slumped over and thus appearing to be injured?

Many of us remember seeing James Holmes for the first time during his arraignment hearing a couple of days after the shooting.  He appeared drugged out of his mind, dozing off repeatedly and/or slowly blinking his eyes as if trying to wake himself up during the judges statements and completely unaware of his surroundings.  This “drugged” and dazed looking state made many early conspiracy theorists, including myself, question if James Holmes was in fact “drugged”.  If so, was he drugged that night as well? Could the police simply have found a man in a similar state just sitting inside his white car slumped over and appearing to have been shot because he was drugged up and out of it? Could someone have left a drugged up patsy out back to be fingered for the shooting? Remember, an eye-witness in the holding cell with James Holmes immediately following his arrest reported that James Holmes himself said he had no memory at all of the shooting. Could that be because he didn’t actually do it?

Some of us theorized that if this were true, James Holmes would likely never see a public trail.  If he were actually drugged and left as a patsy for a crime he didn’t commit how could the conspirators risk putting him on trial and allowing him to speak for himself? And yet, essentially that’s exactly what happened. The trial DID happen and, while Holmes did not take the stand, there are allegedly hours and hours of audio recorded of him fully confessing to psychiatrists that he was the lone gunman that night. We will examine that in more detail in the weeks ahead. For now, let’s return to the audio of that night.

Several officers in other locations are now breaking in over the next few seconds reporting on various victims at different locations around the outside of the theater making what’s happening at the back of the theater a little more confusing.

July 20, 2012, 12:46 am

At 12:46 am, an officer breaks in excitedly, “Everyone hold the air one second…Cars with that white car in the rear of the lot, is that a suspect?”

Again, it would appear the “white car in the rear of the lot” suggests this is the vehicle that we will later know to belong to James Holmes.  We have also been told there is a person shot inside of the vehicle. The officer is again asking to clarify if that is the suspect.”

The response comes back quickly, “Yes! We’ve got rifles, gas masks, he’s detained right now, …I’ve got an open door going into the theater.”

The original officer responds, “Ok hold your position. Hold that suspect.”

Pay VERY careful attention to this exchange. First an officer was asked if the man in the car is the suspect to which the responding offer emphatically announces “YES!”. Then he adds, “We have RIFLES (plural), GAS MASKS (plural).”

Even though James Holmes, according to official sources, allegedly only purchased one rifle, one shotgun and one gas mask we are being told now that the suspect has multiple rifles and gas masks. Later we will find that the shotgun was discarded inside the theater so why do we have multiple guns and masks at the back of the theater for a single shooter? While one might think it is simply a bad choice of wording during a stressful moment, the facts will prove that indeed there are multiple gas masks and rifles found in and around the theater that night.

I want to also stop for a moment and discuss the police and fire audio vs what was reported in pre-trial hearings.  As the official story would later unfold in January of the following year, Officer Jason Oviatt of the Aurora Colorado Police would claim he was the first to find James Holmes “just standing there,” presumably behind the theater, in a helmet, gas mask and body armor, staring off into the distance.  Officer Oviatt also noted that James Holmes “…seemed very detached from it all” and also he was “Very, very relaxed.”    He described how he ordered Holmes at gunpoint to put up his hands and get on the ground and there he handcuffed him. He describes Holmes as “dripping with sweat, his pupils widely dilated, reeking of body odor” and said Holmes “did not display ‘normal emotional responses’ and did not resist.”

Officer Oviatt would also say in the pre-trial hearing that James Holmes was found with a rifle “by the car”.  When Oviatt searched Holmes, he claims he found two ammunition magazines in his pocket and two knives.

Stop for a moment now and ask yourself if the audio transmissions you just read (and have possibly heard online for yourself) corroborate what Officer Oviatt has claimed.  Remember, Officer Oviatt claims James Holmes was discovered standing, staring off into the distance, and was ordered to put his hands up and get on the ground, and then handcuffed.  Does any of this match the excited officers shouting about a person shot inside a white Kia? In not a single audio clip of officers reporting from the back of the theater can you hear someone ordering someone to drop weapons or get on the ground.

Mr. Oviatt also went on to say in his testimony, “It was at that time that Holmes allegedly volunteered that his home had been booby-trapped with “improvised explosive devices.” We will get back to the events that allegedly happened before the shooting later.

But again, contrast Mr. Oviatt’s description of a very calm, and very relaxed individual calmly talking to them about his booby-trapped apartment with the actual audio of excited officers reporting someone sitting inside a white kia, possibly shot, with gas masks and rifles. Not a single word of this is captured on audio of officers giving orders for the shooter to put his hands up, to put his gun down, or to get on the ground.

Another important piece of information should be mentioned here as well. The shooter, it was said by official sources, at first went undetected by police because he looked exactly like them with only one exception, his gas mask.  According to multiple reports, an “observant officer” noticed that James Holmes gas mask was non regulation and that caused him to challenge him.  Other than this detail, he looked identical to the police that night using the same tactical gear and weapons. Even the assault rifle he used was the same as the police standard issue.  So again, who is the person shot inside a white Kia?

Also note it has now been approximately 7 minutes since the first calls came in and we just now have a suspect in custody, possibly in a white Kia outside the back of the theater that may or may not be shot.  But it gets worse…

Aurora Fire dispatch will receive a call from Engine Eight at this time, the acting on-scene fire chief….“Dispatch from Engine Eight, we’re on the scene…we do have, uh….getting reports of multiple victims and an active shooter…”

That’s right, an “active shooter!”  While it is possible the fire department has not yet been notified the shooter is now in custody, it is worth nothing that at a full seven minutes after the shooting started the fire department is still reporting there is an active shooter. If, as the official story claims, the shooter was in custody within two minutes, shouldn’t someone have put out the notice?

It should also be noted that several versions of the police and fire audio have surfaced on the internet after the shooting and in at least one of the audios I listened to, this very transmission appeared only three minutes after the initial call while in the most reliable transmission I’ve found it actually happens about about 7 minutes in.  This suggests someone is trying to put altered versions of the audio online to more closely support the official timeline. For those doing independent research of their own be sure to download multiple versions of the police and fire audio and compare them as it is becoming popular to edit out unimportant details thus altering the timeline.

My hope at this point is that regardless of how you feel about conspiracy theories that you can at least see why those with a “question everything” mindset would have some serious questions so far. Is it not fair for us to clarify if James Holmes was found standing outside or sitting inside of a white car? Is it not fair for us to clarify if he was shot or not? Is it not fair for us to clarify if he was responsive and talking or completely unresponsive? Do the facts matter to anyone? And if answering some simple questions can clear everything up, why can’t we just have those questions answered? What is the harm in understanding exactly what happened behind the theater that night? When officials refuse to answer seemingly easy questions to clarify something it makes conspiracy minded people start asking “why wouldn’t you want to clear this up?” This only leads to even more difficult questions. But the lies and misinformation about what happened that night are only just beginning.
